Thankful Things 3/20

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”  - Psalm 100:4

Happy first-day-of-spring, friends!  Is there any better way to celebrate than thanking and praising the Lord for all the blessings He has given us?!

I am thankful for…

A new season and beautiful weather outdoors.

Gigantic chocolate chip cookies.

Taking photos for my Pictionary Q+A.

Friendship.

Making homemade hot cocoa.

The truth that God is my helper and I can rest in and wait on Him (Psalm 33:20).

New casual dresses.

Sausage/egg/cheese croissant, strawberries, and the above-mentioned cocoa for breakfast.  Yum!

Finishing up school books.

Beautiful music.

The sweetest package from a friend. <3

Falling asleep to the sound of rain falling.

Getting the book Journey of Faith in the mail.

Tulips.

Fixing favorite jewelry.

Brownie-in-a-mug.

This gorgeous arrangement of How Great Thou Art.

Prettying up for a recital.

Blessing my grandmother with cleaning.  This was the peaceful view as I worked on the bathroom window.

What are YOU thankful for today?

  1. I'm thankful that my mom-mom is okay! This morning she had a small heart attack, and then a surgery. We are so grateful she is okay! We have to keep praying for her though, that she doesn't have another. Will you pray?

    1. Great things to be thankful for! So often we take our family for granted, but in reality, we depend on them the most and would be lost without them!
The recital went very well -- you're so sweet to ask! I was chosen with 4 others to represent our district at the state music teachers conference next month.

    2. Oh my! Congratulations!!! What exactly will you be doing there?

    3. Thanks! I'll just be playing my piece (Clair de Lune) again. There's a section of the conference that's basically a recital, with representatives performing from each district. I actually have a friend from a different district that was chosen to perform as well! We both actually performed together two years ago, so it'll be cool to do it again!

    1. Thank you, Anna! :) Those are wonderful things to be thankful for! Sister photoshoots are so fun! And yes, I am incredibly thankful for church, too... it's one of my favorite places to be!

  4. I loved your list! Journey of Faith is an incredible book, I love it! Some things I'm thankful for are: warmer weather, new music, almost being finished with the next CLM, blogging, letters, and so much more! =)

    1. I know, Journey of Faith is wonderful! I haven't read a lot of the book yet, but I remember the articles from Bella's blog and they're great :) I love the things you are thankful for!! Especially warmer weather -- we've gotten a *little* of that but its so random. One day it's 70 and the next it doesn't get out of the 40s... ugh! Last night I went to a lacrosse game and it was cold!!

  5. Aw I loved this! :D You're SO beautiful, friend <3 And aw, that's sweet of you to mention my book too :) I'm thankful for amazing friends like you! And I'm feeling especially thankful today for co-workers yesterday who hugged me and told me how excited they were to see me when I walked into work, and a job where I can help people find a new Bible or devotional!

    1. Thank you! <3 Oh, that must've been so encouraging to walk into work and your coworkers were so sweet and uplifting! I may or may not be slightly jealous *smiles!* that you get to work at a Christian bookstore and our closest one just went out of business and the next closest one is too far... :'( Because a Christian bookstore would be one of the places I'd be most excited about working at!
