MUSIC: BOOKS + ARRANGEMENTS

I Cling to Christ by Gina Sprunger.  For solo piano.  Level: advanced.  The arrangement for His Robes for Mine itself is worth getting the book for – it is the most beautiful arrangement I’ve ever heard for that hymn!
> Listen to His Robes for Mine here.
> Listen to Great is Thy Faithfulness here.

Come, Lift Your Hearts by Carly Rawlings.  For solo piano.  Level: early advanced.  I’ve played most of the arrangements in this book and enjoyed them all.  This is currently the only book available by this composer.

Following Jesus by Faye Lopez.  Duets.  Level: intermediate.  When I first started playing duet offertories with my dad (or a brother) for church, we used this book.  Every single arrangement, in fact.  Memories of playing Christmas Angels beside my oldest brother (who no longer plays) are memories I will cherish for years.

Walk Worthy by Gina Sprunger.  For solo piano.  Level: intermediate.  I like to keep several pieces from this book in my collection of prelude music.  They are beautiful, simple, and super easy to prepare.

My Savior First of All.  For solo piano.  Level: advanced.  This book includes hymn arrangements by many well-known arrangers including Mark Hayes, Molly Ijames, Mary McDonald, and Faye Lopez.  The book is filled with many unique styles.
> Listen to When Morning Gilds the Skies here.
> Listen to O Worship the King here.
> Listen to Be Still, My Soul here.
> Listen to It Is Well With My Soul here.

Man of Sorrows, King of Glory by Gina Sprunger.  For solo piano.  Level: moderately advanced.  To quote the front of this book, "Hymns of Christ's Passion and Resurrection for Piano."  If you want more practice playing 2 against 3, or love playing triplets, this book has several great arrangements for that!

All Creation Sings by Faye Lopez.  For solo piano.  Level: moderately advanced.  This beautiful collection includes pieces all across the spectrum of different feels, from fun and energetic, to beautiful and flowing, to minor and reverent.
> Listen to O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus here.

Joys of Christmas by Gina Sprunger.  For solo piano.  Level: advanced.  This book is filled with many beautiful and unique Christmas arrangements.
> Listen to Hark!  The Herald Angels Sing! here.
> Listen to God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen here.

Gospel Hymns with a Velvet Touch by Tom Fettke.  For solo piano.  Level: early advanced.  This book is part of the Alfred's Sacred Performer Collections and includes "10 elegant settings of beloved hymns," including songs like No, Not One! and What a Friend We Have in Jesus.

They recently did a concert here in Mexico, which we attended. I Cling to Christ and His Robes For Mine are so good. Lol, like I said, we have a lot of things in common! :)
