Happy New Year 2018!

I glance down at the corner of my computer screen and see 1/1/2018 below the time.  I unlock my phone and see the big 1 on my calendar app.  I open up my text messages and see all the texts that say “Happy New Year!!” with celebratory emojis for fun.  Everywhere I see the evidence: 2018 has arrived!

There is something bittersweet about saying goodbye to a year, but something even more exciting in experiencing the dawning of a new one.  With empty slates, we look forward to the coming year and what all God will do.

One area I cannot wait to see what God does with in 2018 is this blog.  What posts will I write?  What changes will I make?  Only God knows right now.  I find it absolutely astounding that God knows every single word I will write on this blog in 2018, even when I myself don’t know that!

So, dear reader, trust Him, because He holds 2018 in His hands.  Surrender this coming year to Him.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”  ~ Jeremiah 29:11, ESV

Happy New Year!

  1. Happy New Years, Grace!
Yes, it is rather sad to leave 2017 behind. It was a huge year for me. But I'm also super excited for everything God has in store for me for this year!
And I can't wait to see where He takes your blog this year! I know it has been a huge encouragement for me. (:
And by the way, your New Year Blog week was super neat! I enjoyed reading all of the posts throughout the week, especially "Favorites" and "Lessons" from 2017!
