I cringe to think it has been nearly 2 months since I’ve last sat down to blog.   Do I have excuses?   Absolutely.   Who doesn’t like to give excuses?

Those of you who read my last post ( here ) know that investing in people is something that has been on my heart as of late.   Because of this, today I’d like to share 10 simple ways you can invest in others.

My brother and I got into a good conversation after class the other day, sparked by something my teacher mentioned and then prompted directly afterward by a completely unrelated Facebook post.

Have you ever heard of the Myers Brigg personality test?   If you haven’t taken the test yourself, you’re probably at least somewhat familiar with the concept.   If you’ve taken the test, you were given a really weird group of letters like “INTJ.”   These groups identify your personality, and each comes with a specific title.   For example, I am an ISTJ, otherwise known as the “logistician.”

Hey y’all!   The 2019-2020 school year has officially begun!   I don’t know about you, but although I’m nervous, I couldn’t be more thrilled.   This is my last year of high school, and I’m beginning to wrap things up.   I finished Chemistry today and got to work on my duel credit English class assignments.   Lord-willing, I will graduate this coming spring!   I’m enjoying the time before graduation, but I’m eager to see what God has in store for me!

A couple of months ago I decided to discontinue most blog tags on this blog in order to focus more on spiritual growth.   However, I do not mind the occasional tag, as long as it is uplifting!   Anna from Annie Writes tagged me for this fun and joy-filled tag, created to help us count God’s blessings in our lives!   Thank you for the tag, Anna.

As mentioned before, I worked at a Christian camp in Ohio for 3 weeks this summer.   Many of you are probably curious as to what all that entailed, and I know at least 1 of you requested this post. ;)   So here you go: Camp Recap 2019.

I’ve spent my entire morning in a mental blogging blank.   It’s been over a month since I’ve blogged.   Yes, I have reasons, and I’ll share them at a later date.   But now it’s time to start writing again.

Hey y’all!  Just wanted to check in quickly and let you know about some things going on this summer.

Hey y’all!   I don’t know about you, but when I was younger, teenage girls were the pedestal of awesomeness.   I looked up to the older girls around me and tried to copy them often (much to the dismay of my parents, I’m sure).   Of all the age groups of people older and wiser, the ones that perhaps made the greatest impact on my life were the teenagers.

Hey y’all!   Lately I’ve seen a bunch of blog posts popping up with encouragement to young people – most often geared towards high school seniors – who don’t know where they’re heading in life.   This is all well and good, but what about those who know EXACTLY what they want to do?   You may think, Well I guess they don’t need this encouragement then!   Lucky them!   If you fall into the “lucky them” group, than this post is for you!

Hey y’all!   Today I’d like to touch on a topic a blog reader requested back in October: how clothing effects who I choose to hang out with, and what I feel/do when I’m around people with different modesty values.   This question honestly couldn’t have come at a better time, as it is something I have thought a lot about these past couple months.   I’ve had some trouble putting my thoughts down on paper, so please forgive my scatter-brained-ness. :)

Yesterday I took my Spanish final exam.   A full year of duel enrollment, DONE.   This past year I have completed all the foreign language requirements for both high school and college; I never have to take Spanish again to graduate.   It’s been a long, hard semester, and I can hardly believe it’s finished.   I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn another language and for the many growing experiences that have come along the way.

Yesterday we celebrated the most important day in the history of the universe: the resurrection of Jesus Christ.   I hope you all were truly filled with joy, because He is truly risen!   Isn’t that amazing?

It occurred to me that I haven’t done a Currently post since last year, 2018!   Of course, that needed to be changed! :)   Enjoy this looooong post, full of photos and blurbs about what’s been happening in my life so far in 2019!

Recently in my Song-Writing college class my teacher posed the question, “Who has had the biggest influence as a musician in your life?”   She explained the importance of remembering these key inspirations and taking time to reflect on and thank them for their influence.   She asked several people to voluntarily share about their greatest influence.   It was a unique honor to raise my hand and tell my teacher that she was mine.

Do you remember what day March 31 st 2018 was?   It was a Saturday; the Saturday between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, in fact.   And it was a very depressing day.

I’ve heard it.   You’ve heard it.   I think we’ve all heard the popular phrase, “follow your heart.”   Recently I went and saw the premier of a new Disney movie with some of my siblings, and there it was again, stabbing me with sorrow and frustration: “follow your heart.”   But, why?   What is it that makes this phrase so popular?

Hey y’all!   It’s about time for another Thankful Things post, don’t you think?   I truly have so much to be thankful for.   So many amazing things have happened in the past couple months, and I look forward to sharing these happenings with you.
